I’ve really missed my vocation. At first I put it down to mere coincidence. End of September, I arrived in Adelaide with temperatures around the 30s and South Australia experiencing its worst ever drought.Two days later, it’s tipping down. Then on to Melbourne -same thing: no rain until I arrive, then problem solved. And Brisbane, and Sydney. But this week has been my toughest challenge: Florida has been having a terrible drought, apparently. When I arrived yesterday, Orlando was experiencing its hottest Jan 29th : 85 degrees. By the time I’d got in the car, a drizzle was quickly turning into a torrent, and by this morning a torrent had become a monsoon. Tonight (30th), the Weather Channel is forecasting freezing temperatures overnight.
Job done. Who’s next? Death Valley?
